My name is Lane Faulhaber. I am a game designer.

Growing up I played many games. Now it's time to make them. Here, you will see some of the design and creative process I've gone through as I have begun designing my own 3D platformer from the ground up.

About Me

I am a recent Seminary graduate with my Master’s of Divinity in Biblical Studies. I started off studying Computer Science at The Ohio State University, but eventually my life took a turn towards studying ministry. All the while, my passion for video game development continued to stir through Seminary.

Throughout my education, I continued to design original characters and scenes from my imagination.

Creating An Experience

At heart, I am a creative. I love to design and create experiences for others. To me, creativity is the opportunity to capture and create relationships between elements of the natural world, and join them together to form something unique and tangible, with its own identity, for others to experience.

This is a commission I was hired for to paint a faux-finish on a corrugated steel barn door.

My latest creation

Otto

Otto is an original character and the leading protagonist of my new 3D platformer, adventure game, Otto The Otter, currently in development. Otto is a curious and playful young otter who is very inventive. The player will use his natural curiosity and intelligence to uncover unique tools and gadgets to help him along as he navigates different worlds and solves puzzles.

Otto will have a diverse move set which will allow him to quickly and freely navigate environments. He will only be limited in his mobility by the puzzles and tasks keeping him from his next objective.
